Lobelia Siphilitica | Great Blue Lobelia
Lobelia Siphilitica, or the Great Blue Lobelia, is a showy perennial with lanceolate, light green leaves. The erect stems produce lavender-blue, tubular flowers crowded together on the upper part. The species name is based on the fact that it was a supposed cure for syphilis. Little maintenance is required. Trim to tidy but leave foliage to die back naturally to encourage winter bud formation.
